astrologiques
Les deux revues que j’ai
lancées sur le site depuis l’automne 2013 – le BAM (Bulletin d’astrologie mondiale) et le RAM (Revue d’astrologie mondiale) présentent mes travaux en cours dans
ce domaine particulier de l’astrologie que je pratique depuis la fin des années
1980 avec bonheur, y trouvant la synthèse entre mon intérêt pour l’histoire,
qui date – grâce à Alexandre Dumas – de mon enfance et ma sensibilité aiguë des
cycles planétaires de longue durée.
Toutefois, bien d’autres de mes
travaux astrologiques n’entrent pas dans cette catégorie de l’astrologie mondiale
; aussi, pour donner un cadre à ces travaux ai-je lancé, le 21 décembre 2014,
une troisième revue liée à l’astrologie : les Etudes astrologiques.
L’idée m’en est venue le jour
de la Lune Bleue
du 20 août 2013, où furent conçus dans un même élan mon BAM (Bulletin d’astrologie mondiale)
et mon RAM (Revue d’astrologie mondiale).
La parution des Etudes astrologiques,
revue gratuite sur Internet, n’a pas de
périodicité fixe.
Astrological Studies
The two journals I have launched on the website since autumn 2013 - the
BMA Bulletin of Mundane Astrology) and the JMA (Journal of Mundane Astrology)
present my work in progress in this particular area of astrology which I
practice since the end of the 1980s with happiness, finding there the synthesis
between my interest for the history, which dates - thanks to Alexandre Dumas -
of my childhood and my acute sensitivity of the planetary cycles of long
duration.
However, many of my astrological works do not fall
into this category of mundane astrology ; also, to give a framework to these
works I launched, on December 21, 2014, a third magazine related to astrology :
Astrological Studies.
The idea came to me on the day of the Blue Moon of
August 20, 2013, where my BMA (Bulletin of Mundane Astrology) and my JMA
(Journal of Mundane Astrology) were conceived in the same vein. The publication
of Astrological Studies, a free magazine on the Internet, has no fixed
periodicity.

Ce
premier numéro des Etudes astrologiques présente une étude sur le
Cardinal de Richelieu, due à mon ami Armand d'Aigleville. Cette étude comporte
deux parties : un essai de caractérologie, suivie de l'homme dans son époque.
Les thèmes suivants sont analysés : Cardinal de Richelieu - Marie de Médicis - Louis XIII - Anne d'Autriche - Gaston d'Orléans - le Père Joseph - Mazarin - Cinq-Mars.

This first issue of Astrological Studies presents a study on the Cardinal de Richelieu, due to my friend Armand d'Aigleville. This study has two parts : a characterology essay, followed by the man in his time.

Autour du thème de Tolkien
Ce deuxième numéro des Etudes astrologiques est un hommage à
J.R.R. Tolkien. Il contient quatre articles relevant de l’astrologie. On
trouvera dans le n° 2 des Cahiers de la Lune Bleue deux
articles de présentation globale du Légendaire. :
« Le Légendaire d’Âge en Âge » et
« Le Légendaire : une œuvre visionnaire pour le XXIe
siècle ».
Le premier article de cet hommage à J.R.R. Tolkien s’intitule « Autour du thème de Tolkien ». Tel est le thème d’une étude parue en 2003 dans les Cahiers d’Univers-Site. Le thème natal de J.R.R. Tolkien est présenté sous l’angle d’un natif de la grande conjonction Neptune-Pluton de 1892, qui marque un tournant important dans l’histoire des civilisations. Sont pris en compte également des thèmes d’Harmoniques qui apportent de précieuses informations sur la dynamique d’un être face au monde, sur la mythologie personnelle du natif et sur l’idéal à réaliser.
Suit une analyse du thème du Seigneur
des Anneaux, paru le 29 juillet 1954, ainsi que sur la sortie du film de Peter
Jackson, le 19 décembre 2001.

Tolkien et le cycle Neptune-Pluton
Le second article,
« Tolkien et le cycle Neptune-Pluton. A
Question of Time », reproduit mon intervention au Congrès Germaine
Holley, tenu à Paris les 2 et 3 octobre 2004. A partir du cycle Neptune-Pluton
qui est au cœur du thème de J.R.R. Tolkien, nous suivons les phases de septile de ce cycle qui ont accompagné la période
des débuts de rédaction du Seigneur des Anneaux, ainsi que la phase de
septile entre 2001 et 2011, où les études sur Tolkien ont connu un grand essor
à travers le monde, le film de Peter Jackson amenant de nouveaux lecteurs à se
délecter du Légendaire. Cet article
aborde également divers aspects du Légendaire
en relation plus ou moins directe avec l’astrologie (le thème de la discordance
de Melkor dans le Grand Chant des Ainur, la racine El et les
étoiles, l’astronomie elfique et le nom des planètes dans le Légendaire, la conception cyclique de
l’histoire du monde).

Le troisième article,
« Tolkien et le Seigneur des Anneaux », présente mon
intervention à un colloque international d’astrologie tenu à Lille en juin
2006, intervention consacrée à la relation entre un auteur et son œuvre par
l’étude des thèmes astrologiques et des cycles planétaires.
Etait proposé dans cet article le thème du Légendaire, fixé, suite à un raisonnement astrologique, à l’Ingrès de Balance de 1914 – ce que confirme la chronologie établie par les érudits auteurs du Guide Tolkien, paru à l’automne 2006. Sont présentés également les thèmes de la publication du Hobbit (le 21 septembre 1937) et du Seigneur des Anneaux (le 29 juillet 1954), ainsi que celui de la sortie du film de Peter Jackson (le 19 décembre 2001). Le quatrième article de cet
« Hommage à Tolkien » a été rédigé les 17 et 18 décembre 2015, en vue
de la publication de ce numéro des Etudes
astrologiques. L’objet en est une étude des thèmes de Tolkien et du Légendaire selon la méthode d’une
approche globale des thèmes que je pratique depuis l’automne 2014. Je reviens
ainsi aux thèmes de J.R.R. Tolkien et de la naissance du Légendaire, le 24 septembre 1914, puis aux deux grands événements
marquants de l’année 1916 : le mariage de Tolkien avec Edith Bratt et son
affectation sur le front de la
Somme. Vient ensuite un réexamen des thèmes de publication du
Hobbit et du Seigneur des Anneaux.
Puis une nouveauté : à propos de la publication du Silmarillion (en 1977), une étude du thème de Christopher Tolkien, qui a été si étroitement associé à l’œuvre de son père, depuis son enfance jusqu’à nos jours, et à qui l’on doit, grâce à la publication de The History of the Middle-earth (de 1983 à 1996), une connaissance globale et détaillée de l’immensité du Légendaire et de la complexité de sa composition.
Sont repris enfin, pour une étude selon la démarche d’une exploration abyssale des thèmes, les thèmes de la sortie du film de Peter Jackson en 2001 et de la fin de la rédaction de mon ouvrage Tolkien, le Chant du Monde, le 27 mai 2003.

This second issue of Astrological Studies is an homage to J.R.R.
Tolkien. It contains four articles related to astrology. We can find in n° 2 of
the Journal of the Blue Moon two
articles of global presentation of the Legendarium : “The Legendarium from Age to Age” and “The Legendarium:a visionary work
for the 21st century”.
The first article in this homage to J.R.R. Tolkien is titled "Around Tolkien's natal chart". This is the theme of a study published in 2003 in Cahiers d’Univers-Site. J.R.R. Tolkien's natal chart is presented as a native of the great Neptune-Pluto conjunction of 1892, which marks an important turning point in the history of civilizations. Harmonic charts are also taken into account and provide valuable information on the dynamics of being in the world, the personal mythology of the native and the ideal to achieve.
An analysis of the chart of the Lord of the Rings, published on July 29, 1954, and the release of Peter Jackson's film, December 19, 2001, follow.

The second article,
"Tolkien and the Neptune-Pluto cycle. A Question of Time ",
reproduced my speech at the Germaine Holley congress, held in Paris on October
2 and 3, 2004. From the Neptune-Pluto cycle that is at the heart of JRR
Tolkien's natal chart, we follow the seven-part phases of this cycle that
accompanied the early Lord of the Rings drafting period, as well as the septile
phase between 2001 and 2011, where Tolkien's studies flourished around the
world, with Peter Jackson's film bringing new readers to revel in the Legendarium.
This article also discusses various aspects of the Legendarium in more or less
direct relationship with astrology (the theme of Melkor's discordance in
Ainur's Great Song, El root and stars, Elven astronomy, and the names of
planets in the Legendarium, the cyclical conception of the history of the
world).
The third article,
"Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings", presents my speech at an
international astrology conference held in Lille in June 2006, an address
devoted to the relationship between an author and his work through the study of
astrological chars and planetary cycles. In this article was proposed the chart
of the Legendarium, fixed, following an astrological reasoning, at the Ingress
in Libra of 1914 - which confirms the chronology established by the learned
authors of the Tolkien guide, published in autumn 2006. The charts of the
Hobbit (September 21, 1937) and The Lord of the Rings (July 29, 1954), as well
as the release of Peter Jackson's film (December 19, 2001) are also presented. The
conclusion evoked the "elective affinities" between the astrologer -
author of a book of synthesis on the work of Tolkien, Tolkien, Le Chant du
Monde (The Song of the World), published in 2003 - and the object of his study,
J.R.R. Tolkien and his Legendarium full of splendor.
The fourth article of this
"Tribute to Tolkien" was written on December 17 and 18, 2015, for the
publication of this issue of Astrological Studies. The subject is a study of
the charts of Tolkien and the Legendarium according to the method of a global
approach of the charts that I practice since autumn 2014. I return to the
charts of J.R.R. Tolkien and the birth of the Legendarium, on September 24,
1914, and the two major events of the year 1916 : the marriage of Tolkien with
Edith Bratt and his assignment on the front of the Somme in France during the
First World War. Then comes a re-examination of the publishing charts of The
Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Then a novelty : about the publication of the Silmarillion (in 1977), a study of the natal chart of Christopher Tolkien, who has been so closely associated with his father's work from childhood to the present day, and to whom thanks to the publication of The History of the Middle-earth (from 1983 to 1996), we must have a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the immensity of the legendarium and the complexity of its composition.
Finally, for a study according to the approach of an abyssal exploration of the charts, charts of the release of the film of Peter Jackson in 2001 and the end of the writing of my book Tolkien, Le Chant du Monde (The Song of the World), May 27, 2003 are taken back.

EA 3 – Vladimir Soloviev
Ce numéro consacré au penseur et poète
russe Vladimir Soloviev présente une étude (traduite du russe par Charles Ridoux ) présentée
à Kichinev en décembre 2002, à l’occasion
du 150e anniversaire de la naissance de Vladimir Soloviev,
par Asia Solomko, qui pratique l’astrologie uranienne et analyse avec beaucoup
de finesse et de profondeur la spiritualité de cette impressionnante
personnalité à la lumière de Poséidon, à la fois dans le thème natal et dans le
thème des Révolutions solaires qui correspondent à trois moments d’illumination
dans la vie de Vladimir Soloviev.

This issue dedicated to the Russian poet and thinker Vladimir Soloviev presents a study (translated from Russian by Charles Ridoux) presented in Kichinev in December 2002, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Soloviev, by Asia Solomko, who practices uranian astrology and analyzes with great finesse and depth the spirituality of this impressive personality in the light of Poseidon, both in the natal chart and in the chart of the Solar Revolutions that correspond to three moments of illumination in the life of Vladimir Soloviev.

EA 4 – Chiron et les Centaures
Le premier article présente quelques sites relatifs à Chiron et aux Centaures qui nous ont paru particulièrement dignes d’intérêt. Sont examinés successivement les sites de Robert von Heeren, Piotr Piotrowski, Zane B. Stein, Juan Antonio Reville, Gennady Maslov et Denis Koutaliov.
Comme l’écrit Juan Antonio Reville : « Nous devons créer de nouveaux mythes pour le XXIe siècle, et les Centaures sont là pour nous apprendre à le faire. Nous sommes invités à être créatifs, à franchir les barrières et à changer de paradigmes. Nous sommes des baleines, nous sommes des dauphins, nous ne craigons pas le chaos. Une nouvelle alliance est en train de se créer entre l’humanité et la Terre ».

Le second article, purement
technique, donne un tableau des éphémérides (sur un rythme de quatre années) de
Chiron et de Pholus au long d’une période allant de 1600 à 2100. Puis viennent
des éphémérides graphiques permettant de voir l’interférence de Chiron et de
Pholus dans les cycles de Neptune et de Pluton, ainsi que dans le cycle des
Nœuds lunaires, sur une période allant de 1900 à 2100. Enfin, sont présentés
divers tableaux conccernant les cycle de Chiron et des lentes en longitude et
en déclinaison, de 1600 à 2100.

This issue is dedicated to Chiron and the Centaurs - asteroids discovered since November 1, 1977, and have since attracted much research among astrologers around the world. This issue consists of two parts : one devoted to the exploration of some Centaur sites; the other presents a series of cyclic tables related to Chiron and Pholus. My goal is simply to provide some useful elements for conducting research related to Chiron and Centaurs.
The first article presents some websites related to Chiron and Centaurs which seemed to me particularly worthy of interest. The websites of Robert von Heeren, Piotr Piotrowski, Zane B. Stein, Juan Antonio Reville, Gennady Maslov and Denis Kutaliov are successively examined.
As Juan Antonio Reville writes : "We need to create new myths for the 21st century, and the Centaurs are here to teach us how to do it. We are invited to be creative, to cross barriers and to change paradigms. We are whales, we are dolphins, we are not afraid of chaos. A new covenant is being created between humanity and the Earth".

The second article, purely
technical, gives a table of ephemerides (over a four-year period) of Chiron and
Pholus over a period from 1600 to 2100. Then come graphic ephemerides allowing
to see the interference of Chiron and Pholus in the cycles of Neptune and
Pluto, as well as in the cycle of Lunar Nodes, over a period from 1900 to 2100.
Finally, are presented various tables concerning the Chiron cycle and slows in
longitude and declination, from 1600 to 2100.

EA 5 – Pierre Julien
Ce numéro est consacré à l’Indice Astrométrique de Pierre
Julien, conçu dans les années 1970, qui s’inscrit dans la lignée de l’Indice
cyclique d’André Barbault et présente l’intérêt de déterminer de façon précise
les dates d’entrée et de sortie des quelques grandes périodes critiques qui se
présentent au cours de chaque siècle, comme ce fut le cas, au XXe
siècle, des deux guerres mondiales, de la crise économique de 1929 ou de la
crise iranienne de 1978.
Le numéro est composé de trois articles : 1° Un entretien entre Charles Ridoux et Pierre Julien (les 26 et 27 mai 2017) ; 2° La reprise d’une publication de Pierre Julien intitulée « Premiers craquements d’une crise majeure » et parue en 2007 ; 3° Les calculs de l’Indice astrométrique effectués par Jean-Christophe Vitu.
Le premier article est constitué d’un entretien entre Charles Ridoux et Pierre Julien, précédé d’une brève introduction à la technique de l’Indice astrométrique. Cet entretien traite notamment des trois grandes périodes critiques du XXIe siècle : 2017-2026, 2053-2061, 2076-2086.

This issue is devoted to the Astrometric Index of Pierre Julien, conceived in the 1970s, which is in line with André Barbault's cyclical index and presents the interest of precisely determining the dates of entry and exit of the few major critical periods that occur in each century, as was the case in the twentieth century, for the two world wars, the economic crisis of 1929 or the Iranian crisis of 1978.
This issue is composed of three articles : 1° An interview between Charles Ridoux and Pierre Julien (May 26 and 27, 2017) ; 2° The resumption of a publication by Pierre Julien entitled Premiers craquements d’une crise majeure "First cracking of a major crisis" and published in 2007 ; 3° Calculations of the astrometric index carried out by Jean-Christophe Vitu.
The first article consists of an interview between Charles Ridoux and Pierre Julien, preceded by a brief introduction to the technique of the Astrometric Index. This interview deals with the three major critical periods of the twenty-first century: 2017-2026, 2053-2061, 2076-2086.

EA 6 – Hommage à André Barbault
Décédé le 9 octobre 2019,
André Barbault, âgé de 98 ans, a exercé la plus longue et la plus fructueuse
carrière d’astrologue en France depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale, acquérant
une renommée internationale. Cet article évoque la part de son œuvre qui nous a
concerné de plus près, son apport très appréciable à l’astrologie mondiale,
ainsi que quelques réflexions sur nos cheminements, parfois divergents.
Cet hommage à André Barbault
est constitué de trois parties :
1° Le parcours d’André
Barbault en astrologie mondiale à la lumière de son propre thème et de ses
résonances avec les grands cycles classiques (notamment Saturne-Neptune et Uranus-Pluton,
ainsi que Jupiter-Neptune et Uranus-Neptune). Et les résonances cycliques entre
le thème d’André Barbault et celui de Charles Ridoux.
2° Une brève notice
intitulée « André Barbault, praticien et théoricien de l’astrologie
mondiale.
Sollicité pour apporter une
brève contribution écrite à l’hommage rendu à André Barbault à Paris le 1er
décembre 2019, cette notice propose une réflexion sur le rôle et la place de
l’astrologie mondiale entre les débuts de l’activité des frères Barbault
(Armand et André) à l’approche de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et la situation
actuelle au moment de la mort d’André Barbault, à la veille de la conjonction
Satnurne-Pluton de 2020, transitée par Jupiter (et au double carré d’une
opposition entre Eris et Zeus).
3° La liste des articles de
Charles Ridoux en astrologie mondiale.
C’est encore une façon de
rendre hommage à André Barbault, qui fut longtemps, dans le domaine de
l’astrologie mondiale, une référence majeure, non par des cours mais par de
fréquentes et fécondes conversations, et surtout par une lecture et une
relecture stimulante de ses écrits – cela à partir de 1990, où les colonnes de
sa revue L’Astrologue furent généreusement ouvertes à celui qui était
alors un novice en cette matière.
Died on October 9, 2019, at the age of 98, André
Barbault,, has had the longest and most fruitful career as an astrologer in
France since the Second World War, gaining international renown. This article
evokes the part of his work which concerned us more closely, his very
appreciable contribution to world astrology, as well as some reflections on our
paths, sometimes divergent.
This homage to André Barbault is made up of three
parts :
1 ° André Barbault's journey in Mundane astrology in
the light of his own natal chart and its resonances with the great classical
cycles (notably Saturn-Neptune and Uranus-Pluto, as well as Jupiter-Neptune and
Uranus-Neptune). And the cyclical resonances between the natal chart of André
Barbault and that of Charles Ridoux.
2 ° A brief notice entitled "André Barbault,
practitioner and theorist of Mundane astrology”.
Requested to make a brief written contribution to the homage
paid to André Barbault in Paris on December 1, 2019, this notice offers a
reflection on the role and place of Mundane astrology between the beginnings of
the activity of the Barbault brothers (Armand and André) at the approach of the
Second World War and the current situation at the time of the death of André

3 ° The list of articles by Charles Ridoux in Mundane
astrology.
It is another way of paying homage to André Barbault,
who was for a long time, in the field of Mundane astrology, a major reference,
not by lectures but by frequent and fruitful conversations, and especially by
reading and re-reading stimulating of his writings - this from 1990, when the
columns of his review L'Astrologue were generously opened to the one who was
then a novice in this matter.
EA 7 – Hommage à Claude Ganeau
Il m’a été donné de fréquenter Claude Ganeau (24 mars
1912 – 18 mai 1991) durant les trois dernières années de sa vie, à la suite
d’une rencontre à la librairie des Cahiers astrologiques, où nous avons
immédiatement partagé une passion commune pour l’astrologie mondiale, pour
l’histoire et pour la cyclologie. Une heureuse synchronicité m’a permis, grâce
à la récupération toute récente d’un document que je croyais perdu, de publier
en même temps sur le site l’hommage ému que je rends aujourd’hui à ces deux
maîtres que furent Claude Ganeau et André Barbault, qui ont accompagné mes
premiers pas dans la pratique de l’astrologie mondiale.
L’œuvre de Claude Ganeau en
astrologie mondiale tient tout entière dans trois articles publiés dans L’Astrologue en 1976-1977 : c’est
une synthèse de ces trois articles qui constitue l’hommage qui lui est rendu
ici. Ces trois articles représentent peu de chose en quantité, mais ils
constituent un apport considérable et substantiel par la densité, l’ampleur et
la hauteur de vue de ses conceptions, et une contribution toujours d’actualité
plus de trente ans après sa publication. Je reprends ici non pas l’intégralité
du texte de Claude Ganeau, mais toute la substantifique moëlle de sa pensée et
la reproduction intégrale des schémas et des tableaux si précieux et si
minutieux qu’il avait patiemment confectionnés durant plus d’une quarantaine
d’années.
I was fortunate enough to hang out with Claude Ganeau
(March 24, 1912 - May 18, 1991) during the last three years of his life,
following a meeting at the library of Cahiers astrologiques where we
immediately shared a common passion for Mundane astrology, for history and for
cyclology. A happy synchronicity allowed me, thanks to the very recent recovery
of a document that I thought lost, to publish at the same time on the site the
emotional homage that I pay today to these two masters Claude Ganeau and André
Barbault, who accompanied my first steps in the practice of Mundane astrology.
Claude Ganeau's work in Mundane astrology is entirely
contained in three articles published in L’Astrologue in 1976-1977 : it is a
synthesis of these three articles that constitutes the homage paid to him here.
These three articles represent little in quantity, but they constitute a
considerable and substantial contribution by the density, the breadth and the
point of view of his designs, and a contribution still relevant more than
thirty years after its publication. I am not repeating here the entire text of
Claude Ganeau, but all the substantial marrow of his thought and the complete
reproduction of the diagrams and tables so precious and so meticulous that he had
patiently made during more than forty years.
